Hostal Doña Amalia Cuba is the union of two owners, Amalia (Mother) and Adrian (Son), who joined their homes to create a hostel. It is a family of Cuban professionals who sought alternatives to the crisis in Cuba since 1994.
It is an interesting fusion, as Amalia is a retired Doctor of Stomatology who worked for 30 years offering free services, and Adrian is a graduate of Business Administration who worked 10 years for one of the few capitalist transnational companies that have operated in Cuba (UNILEVER). This combines the excellent and friendly service of Amalia, with the profitability that Adrian seeks and complements the work of other family members. Ayleem (Amalia's daughter), who has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, is in charge of book keeping and business taxes. Armando (Amalia's husband), a veterinarian, is the proprietor of the operation and Jaclyn (Adrian's wife) is a Doctor of Medicine. This team of family members and professionals complement the operation of the bussiness.
All of the above provides for a safe, family environment, and a unique opportunity to experience and learn about a typical Cuban family with characteristics that make us UNIQUE in the world.
